The position is planed to be filled as soon as possible.
The advertised position is a professorship funded under the Federal-Länder Program for the Promotion of Young Scientists (WISNA-Nachwuchspakt) and is therefore subject to the program's funding conditions.
Applicants should therefore only be appointed at the TU Braunschweig within the four-year period following the date of defense of their doctorate.
The research focus of the professorship should be in the area of data-driven decisions, innovations and the corresponding new strategies and value creation structures in digitally transformed companies.
The applicant should be internationally well-known for his/her research in one or more of the following sub-areas
- Sustainable data management in data acquisition, (intelligent) processing and governance, taking into account technological, human-centred and societal aspects.
Design of data-based and digital planning, decision-making, management and control processes, e.g. in management, production, sales and distribution.
- Data-driven management of value creation processes/networks and/or strategic transformation processes.
- Design and management of data-based service, product and process innovations, data-driven business models and/or digital platforms and ecosystems.
- University degree with a focus on Business Informations Systems or related subject.
- Research experience (as evidenced by relevant publications) in the field mentioned or comparable.
Willingness to aquire and work on third-party funded projects.
- Willingness to take on a research orientation in the research focus areas “Mobility” and “City of the Future” as well as the “Data Science” focus of the Carl-Friedrich-Gauß-Faculty.
Very good command of the English language and willingness to teach in English.
Willingness to participate in the internationalization of the university and in research.
Willingness to participate in the self-administration of the university.

Completed university studies
Pedagogical suitability, proof of this is to be provided by a teaching sample
Special qualification for deepended independent scientific work, which is usually demonstrated by an above-average doctorate
The employment is initially for a period of three years in a temporary civil servant relationship, provided that the general service law requirements are fulfilled. In the event of a successful interim evaluation in accordance with § 30 Para. 4 S. 2 NHG, the professorship will be extended by a further three years. After positive outcome of the procedure regulated in the tenure track regulations of the TU Braunschweig, an appointment to a permanent professorship in grade W2 NBesO will be made without further advertisement
