Your responsibilities

As a key professorship in the Lower Saxony Research Center for Vehicle Technology (NFF), the position to be filled will make a significant contribution to the further development of the subject area "Intelligent Vehicles" and will form an interdisciplinary bridge between the engineering sciences and computer science within the center. The applicant should have relevant experience and a scientific profile with a focus on software systems engineering, especially in the area of software-intensive applications in the field of mobility. This includes, for example, the following areas:

  • Software architectures and component technologies
  • Languages, methods and tools for software systems design
  • (Self-)adaptive and intelligent systems
  • Software management and quality assurance

Our expectations

  • Relevant industrial experience or third-party funding activities and interest in interdisciplinary research
  • Willingness for interdisciplinary collaboration within the Lower Saxony Research Center for Automotive Engineering (NFF). Strong teamwork, management and leadership skills
  • Commitment to Bachelor's and Master's degree programs in Computer Science, Information Systems Engineering, Data Science, and Management Information Systems. Particularly related to undergraduate education in software engineering
  • Very good command of the English language and willingness to teach courses in English
  • Willingness to participate in the self-governance of the university
  • Commitment to increasing the internationalization and international visibility of TU Braunschweig

Requirements, § 25 NHG

  • Completed university studies
  • Pedagogical suitability, proof of this is to be provided by a teaching sample
  • Special qualification for deepended independent scientific work, which is usually demonstrated by an above-average doctorate and
  • Habilitation or habilitation-adequate qualifications
